You must give the spwaned vehicle an name in the script or if it´s possible dont use the spawn script and place the vehicle with crew on the map! Mortars only got 5 claim kills, but the suppressing is fundamental to the final infantry charge.īit of a noob here, so sorry if this sounds stupid. Germans' are retreating! For Mother Russia!ĪAR. The new telephone line laid under fire is of "green" quality. The cable squad's actually doing pretty well. He then directly pass it to the mortar platoon leader (close but behind cover, mortar squads without fire squads need him to coordinate fire). When the battlegroup's in trouble, get the company cmd to see the target. If you are operating with a company size battlegroup (with mortar platoon attached), one approach is to motorize company cmd and the mortar platoon, keep them in vocal C2 range and follow the attacking force closely. So this is how automatic indirect fire works in game: get the direct senior officer to see the enemy, get C2 working, and then the mortars can do indirect firing. He can direct fire on to targets automatically (get him to see the enemy, and order "priority target" to the mortars). This is mortar platoon's direct senior command squad. See how the mortar platoon leader is with the mortars relaying targets without LOS. ![]() Using senior officers may be a workaround to this issue.Īll cmd squads directly senior to the mortar (mortar platoon leader, company cmd) can call fire support. Sorry to say that, unfortunately, junior officers can't call fire support. ![]() Then why am i not able to have the infantry units commander request fire support from the Company Officer unit to relay to the Mortar Company commander.
